Dragon Bash:

The bash was a great success thanks to Tom, who organised this! I was lucky to get into the Bash ontime, had the parents in the house you see. "Just checking E-mail only be 5 mins" - yeah right. Anyway, in I went. Mobile bash had just ended...and Dragon Bash hadn't officially started yet...great :) When I say it hadn't officially started, there was still a few players tempting fate. I think Firefarter was trying a solo attempt. But a few other people, probably the Lemming man's offspring, had tried as well....to no avail. There was still 4 minutes to go before the Bash started. Great, I thought. Gives me time to get some weapons. But no....someone had already started up conversation with me in the Tea room. I finally managed to get out (with my Blitzen persona) into a Land buzzing with homicidal and suicidal mortals. <Blink> there goes another two. For some unknown reason (to me) I had forgotten where the West Dale was.....I thought and thought....near the Railway right? I asked Boggy who swiftly appeared in front of me. Great I thought...a free teleport!! A few moments later, -50points and i'd left the game. "What the????"

"SHHHhhhh Boggy told me". He had accidently teleported me somewhere....i'm afraid I promised not to say where, but he doted me 600 points...so I kept quiet <grins> he's probably gonna be looking for me now! BACK to the bash. I quickly logged back in, made my way to the fairy ring, gulped as a few others leapt in before me, closed my eyes and entered...........

The next few moments was pure chaos! Clangs of metal and squelches of torn flesh. Wait a sec....that was the mortals fighting among themselves. I looked up and saw the beast. I stood there for a moment not knowing what to do.....the Dagger I had picked up at the Rapids before hand was now lost...thanks to a certain Wizard <winks>. I stared around again and saw the other mortals fiercly attacking the firebreathing dragon. The Dragon must have been out of breath or something since there were no more "Hawumphhs". Thinking quickly I picked up a stone and hurled it....it went zipping by harmlessly...oops...from then on it was a bloody battle...I think the Dragon had some help from the mortals as well, since there were quite a few pk's on. But with BroadSword and Two Handed Sword on our side....and a load of dead people, we managed to defeat the beast......silence......

I looked up from the bloody remains of the Dragons corpse, just in time to duck a loose swing from Fate. Obviously killing the Dragon was not enough for him. The rest bundled him and he was grounded within seconds. There was a sudden outcry of roars and cheers from the within the Land. Pleasure filled me as I proudly stood facing what had been a gruesome kill. Although i had not been there from the start, and many had lost their lives in this fight to the death, I was happy. Karya and Boggy hovered close by scanning the battlefield for survivors. I made a desperate leap into Karya's boat for some protection from the pk's but she was out of reach. Just as another pk made his move, Boggy disappeared leaving us battleweary survivors to take him out.

All in all a good Dragon Bash, and THANKS again to Tom. When's the next one?
